George N. Longworth, co-founder of Grant & Longworth, has practiced law in Westchester and Bronx counties since 2002 with a specialty in personal injury and criminal law. Other areas of expertise include real estate, matrimonial, immigration and commercial law.
Longworth has also had a distinguished career in law enforcement for more than three decades, serving as commissioner of the Westchester County Department of Public Safety and Chief of Police in the village of Dobbs Ferry. He is a graduate of the prestigious FBI National Academy and has held leadership positions in the Westchester County Chiefs of Police Association and the New York State Association of Chiefs of Police.
His law enforcement clients include the Westchester County Chiefs of Police Association and hundreds of first responders throughout the tri-state area. His expertise in all areas of the law is affirmed by members of the bar throughout Westchester County, including judges, prosecutors and members of the defense bar.
Longworth has successfully represented a broad range of clients in jury trials, court trials and appeals. Additionally, his representation includes the development and implementation of litigation, discovery, settlement and trial strategies.
Longworth was admitted to the New York State Bar, the Connecticut Bar and the United States District Court of the Southern District of New York following his graduation from Pace University Law School in 2002. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Mercy College. In August 2007, he joined with Steven P. Grant, Esq., in establishing Grant & Longworth in Dobbs Ferry, New York.
